My circumstances:
I am a single parent who had substantial debts , but was never offered any other solution by staff, I was also treated like a misbehaving child by your representatives who visited my home, I felt totally powerless after the visit and was not given any options to my solutions, my disabled daughters income was also taken into account for the trust deed, even though the debts are not hers, and it is illegal to take in someone elses benefits into account for the purposes of setting up the trust deed. I believe your company acted illegally in this process, deliberately caused myself and dependents hardship and tried to control me for over two years until I managed to remortgate my property to get you off my back. Even now 11 months after the remortgage and you telling me the account had been sent for closure back in J anuary 2008 I still have not received a discharge letter and have now decided to seek legal advice regarding this matter.I will never recommmend your company to anyone and will at every stage advise people against delaing with your company. I also wish a break down on the monies I paid to your company and how much money the creditors actually recieved from Invocas. I was also advised in April this year that it had come to your attention that in fact some of the original creditors in the trust deed may not have been entitled to make a claim against the trust deed, this should have been looked at before you encouraged me to enter the trust deed, fortunately I have kept every piece of correspondence I have ever received from invocas and Haines Watts,. last and most importantly I want to know what you done with the 10,000 equity received by you last December 17th 07.I only agreed to sign your trust deed until 6th August 2008 which was the 3 year period, but you agreed a payoff after the remortgage in Dec 07, so I have now been waiting a year for a discharge letter which I am entitled to get.I feel that I was totally exploited by your organisation and have no intention of letting this matter drag on any longer. The personal treatment and threat of eviction and repossession hanging over my head caused me a great deal of distress, the constant blocking of companies willing to remortgage my property became expensive not just for the companies involved through hiring solicitors etc, and the constant survey fees requiring payment made my life unbearable, and almost caused me to contemplate suicide, you dont help customers you are a ruthless business that is only interested in exploiting vulnerable people.
My interaction with the company:
I was referred by another company who ripped me off for 1100 pounds in less than 3 months, namely Spectrum.
Why I gave the ratings I did:
I hate your company because you exploited me and my sick daughter knowingly.
One thing they did - which really impressed me:
Nothing
One thing they did - which I felt could be improved:
Everything, but especially treat customers with common decency.
Other points
My current situation is that as far as I am concerened you no longer exist, my trust deed was for 3 years and ended on 6-08-2008. ? How would I know according to you youre not sure some of the creditors were ever owed the money in the fist place, but how convenient that should come to light after youve been paid 10,000 pounds settlement.
