My circumstances:
I am a PA living in London and had amassed debts of over £62,000 (£37,000 being negative equity on a house I lost in the 90s). Things came to a head after losing my job through illness and was unable to find permanent employment for over two years. At the same time my mother was diagnosed with cancer and Alzeimers. Her hospital bill was £200 a day as she was living abroad! - I was in despair and at a very low point. I was sceptical when I received the initial call to help me with my bills, and to be honest I did not believe it could happen - it seemed almost too good to be true! - but I had no choice but to try. IT WAS THE BEST THING I DID. The whole process was explained to me and I was advised on what action to take. I felt an almost immediate relief! - I was a bit anxious waiting to hear whether my IVA was approved, but the day it was - I cried with relief. I felt as if I had been given my life back. At no time was I made to feel inadequate. I owe my sanity to Emma D and the Simple Debt Solution firm. Thank you.<br> AChamberlin
My interaction with the company:
I was advised to take the IVA route which I did. All details were explained to me fully. I completed the forms and after some small changes were made, a court date was set and my IVA approved. (Maybe 6 weeks from beginning to end!) Emma D - was with me all the way.
Why I gave the ratings I did:
I rated SDS 10/10 because "they gave me my life back".

I am very cautious with my money. I shall NEVER get into debt again! About 2/3rd of my debt has been written off!

    Good Points
    Very informative with lots of useful information. A lot of reviews on firms that really help understand their customer service and ability. The reviews appear to be genuine as they offer interesting insights. Didn't really use the the map but looks impressive!
    Bad Points
    The site is a bit cluttered and sometimes hard to navigate around.
    General Comments
    A useful site that is free to use and full of useful information about IVAs. If you are thinking of doing an IVA then this is a must use site.
