My circumstances:
Myself (police employee) and my husband (retired) managed to rack up £85,000 unsecured debts between us (mostly mine Im ashamed to say). People kept throwing credit at us, and like fools we accepted.<br> We own our own property which has a mortgage and a secured loan on it, and it has about £30,000 equity at the moment. Finally bit the bullet and accepted we had a big problem, particularly with all the phone calls and letters we received.<br> We were already in a paid DMP but that was going to take us about 20 years to clear - a big millstone for a long time
My interaction with the company:
We phoned Payplan just to change DMP as we knew Payplan didnt charge. They were surprised that we hadnt been offered an IVA, and said we could be eligible for one. They were extremely helpful, always there on the end of the phone and we had our R3 call and proposal through quite quickly.<br> Our meeting was set up, and we were accepted with some small modifications which we had no problem with.<br> They were helpful and not at all judgemental. Our client support manager was in touch straight away. <br>
Why I gave the ratings I did:
We rated them 10 out of 10 because they were always there for us, sorted out the best possible solution for us and we feel that we can trust them. I would recommend them to anyone

Nothing - they dealt with us promptly at all times 
Other points
We are now starting our IVA, and we have realised that our lifestyle has to change permanently, even when we have completed.<br> My husbands dividend is 38p in the pound, and mine 31p.<br> We will have written off 60%

    Good Points
    Very informative with lots of useful information. A lot of reviews on firms that really help understand their customer service and ability. The reviews appear to be genuine as they offer interesting insights. Didn't really use the the map but looks impressive!
    Bad Points
    The site is a bit cluttered and sometimes hard to navigate around.
    General Comments
    A useful site that is free to use and full of useful information about IVAs. If you are thinking of doing an IVA then this is a must use site.
