My circumstances:
I am a civil servant with over £55k of debt and no assets
My interaction with the company:
I searched the internet for debt help and came across this website. The reviews for Philip Gill were very positive so I plucked up the courage to call for advice. After deciding on the best way forward, I sent all the relevant paperwork and the IVA proposal was written. The IVA was accepted at the creditors meeting with some minor modifications. If you need debt help dont go anywhere else!
Why I gave the ratings I did:
Facing up to my debt problems and realising I needed help was the hardest thing to do. I felt immediately at ease when talking to Melanie Giles and her team and they were non-judgmental at all times. They put my mind at rest and were very professional throughout.
One thing they did - which really impressed me:
Gave free impartial advice, they didnt push me into a corner and say "you need to do this", I was allowed to make my own decision as to the best course of action that I felt was right for me. Always available to help even with the simplest of questions.
One thing they did - which I felt could be improved:
Could not fault them, maybe setting up the IVA could have been quicker but it took a long time for me to get balances from creditors and the Christmas period slowed things a little.
Other points
Im at the beginning of the IVA, required to pay 32p in the £. Writing off approx £33k! In hindsight I would have dealt with my situation sooner and not buried my head in the sand. If you have debts, dont panic, get help immediately, I would recommend Philip Gill to anyone.

    Good Points
Very informative with lots of useful information. A lot of reviews on firms that really help understand their customer service and ability. The reviews appear to be genuine as they offer interesting insights. Didn't really use the the map but looks impressive!
    Bad Points
The site is a bit cluttered and sometimes hard to navigate around.
    General Comments
A useful site that is free to use and full of useful information about IVAs. If you are thinking of doing an IVA then this is a must use site.
