My circumstances:
I am a self employed plumber & my wife a civil servant. We are in our fifties and had built up a staggering unsecured debt of 153K via credit cards, loans & tax arrears.We have an estimated 27K equity in our house. Our lives were a constant worry caused by the debt and re-payments which we could not afford. There was no way forward and our future was very grim
My interaction with the company:
Our case was passed to Philip Gill & Co. from Thomas Charles where Melanie & Sarah worked like trojans on our behalf and after a meeting with Melanie we could see a debt free future was possible through an IVA. The figures looked impossible at first but Melanie was very professional ( and totally none judgemental) and steered us to a reasonable proposal ( to all parties)which was accepted after a few modifications.
Why I gave the ratings I did:
Melanie & Sarah worked very hard on our behalf and it was their knowledge and expertise which really counted towards some very difficult creditors.
One thing they did - which really impressed me:
Totally professional, caring and committed to finding a solution for us
One thing they did - which I felt could be improved:
None 
Other points
A settlement of 37p in the pound and wiping out some 96K at the end of the IVA. Getting into debt was so easy and once on the rollercoaster impossible to get off. We are really looking forward to a credit free existence and a life without debt at the end of the IVA. The next five years will be hard but that is nothing compared to a lifetime of misery. Budgeting is now the priority of the day.

    Good Points
    Very informative with lots of useful information. A lot of reviews on firms that really help understand their customer service and ability. The reviews appear to be genuine as they offer interesting insights. Didn't really use the the map but looks impressive!
    Bad Points
    The site is a bit cluttered and sometimes hard to navigate around.
    General Comments
    A useful site that is free to use and full of useful information about IVAs. If you are thinking of doing an IVA then this is a must use site.
