My circumstances:
I am a single parent living in Essex, I have 33K of debt a no assets. I had been on a DMP for 7 years and with the help of my advisor decided an IVA would be better for me - I could add in some newer debts and I would have an end date in sight.
My interaction with the company:
I posted on the IVA advice forum and got some really helpful advice from the other members, then I decided to contact 2 companies, the other being Payplan.
Why I gave the ratings I did:
Everyone at the company treated me as an individual rather than a number - emails and phone calls were always returned promptly.
One thing they did - which really impressed me:
I think their whole service was great!
One thing they did - which I felt could be improved:
I had a particular creditor who was hassling me with a warrant for bailiff via the local court. I was very worried that the bailiffs were going to come. One of my advisors tried to contact the creditor and ask them to cancel the warrant but they wouldnt agree - she kept telling me not to worry but in the end I applied to the court myself and paid £40 to have the warrant suspended and then I wrote to the court advising them of the date of my creditors meeting. I wish the IVA advice company had advised me to either carry paying that particular creditor or told me I could apply to suspend the order myself - I was quite frightened about the bailiffs because I live on my own and I thought they were going to come in and take my stuff.
Other points
My IVA has only just been approved (yesterday) but I think the creditors have accepted 22p per pound. I feel I have made an effort to pay back some of what I owe - rather than go bankrupt but also I know I only have 59 more payments to make, it gives me hope.

    Good Points
Very informative with lots of useful information. A lot of reviews on firms that really help understand their customer service and ability. The reviews appear to be genuine as they offer interesting insights. Didn't really use the the map but looks impressive!
    Bad Points
The site is a bit cluttered and sometimes hard to navigate around.
    General Comments
A useful site that is free to use and full of useful information about IVAs. If you are thinking of doing an IVA then this is a must use site.
