My circumstances:

We are a married couple living in the South of England. Through various personal difficulties we found ourselves in over £180,000 of debt. We did not know which way to turn. I finally rang Grosvenor Partners and spoke to Heves Irfan, who treated me with kindness and respect and totally put me at ease. She sent me the forms to fill in and helped me at every stage. She then set up a meeting for me with Mark Bassford. Mark immediately made me feel comfortable and for the first time in a very long time I felt like a human being again. Things that I had kept bottled up for years I felt I could actually talk about, which made me feel so much better. I could actually see light at the end of the tunnel. We discussed all available options and finally decided that an IVA would be the way to go. He spent three hours with me and at the end of the meeting would not let me decide on the spot. He told me to go home and think things through before commiting to Grosvenors. I was never pressurised. I left the office feeling so much better and most importantly, hopeful. My day to day dealings were with Fariba Fassihi-Rad, without whom I would not have got through this. She is an extremely kind person and has endless patience - I must have e-mailed her countless times and she always replied immediately with answers and support. She gave me the confidence to get through everything.

My interaction with the company:

After the meeting the proposal was quickly put together and finalised. Our situation was quite complicated but I had utter faith in Mark, Heves and Fariba and even if the result had not gone our way, I would have been grateful to them just the same as they absolutely gave it their all. These people have given us our lives back again, all we ever wanted to do was to try and pay back as much of our debts that we possible could and we have now been able to do so. For the first time in years I actually woke up this morning and the overwhelming debt was not the first thing that came into my mind. Thank you to everyone concerned who made this possible.

Why I gave the ratings I did:

I rated them 10 out of 10 because they were always there for us and I trusted them absolutely.

One thing they did - which really impressed me:

Their response time was incredibly fast. Any time I e-mailed, I had an answer within minutes. Whenever I rang I was able to speak to whoever I was calling immediately.

One thing they did - which I felt could be improved:

Absolutely nothing.

Other points

We now have a fresh start. I have learned that whatever your personal difficulty and situation, only buy things that you have the money for. In the future we will be saving money up for anything we may need, no matter how long it takes, if not we will be happy to go without!
