| My circumstances: |
| I live and work in West Yorkshire as a teaching assistant. I had debt in the region of £20k from a previous marriage and credit cards. I own my own property; I have 2 children and a car to get from to and from work. |
| My interaction with the company: |
| I phoned them directly on a recommendation by a friend and some research on the internet. I got in contact with VN who arranged an interview with a representative who listened to my problems and suggested that an IVA was the most suitable solution for my individual circumstances. They sent me some paperwork and talked me through how to fill it in, then drafted a proposal for me. A month later, it was accepted by my creditors. I felt that an enormous weight had been lifted off my shoulders because I was able to get advice and support in sorting out my problems. |
| Why I gave the ratings I did: |
| I was impressed by how sympathetic and knowledgeable the staffs were. They always kept me informed about the process and how long it would take, and someone was always on hand to answer my questions. I felt and feel the quality of service provided has been excellent and I would have no hesitation in recommending anyone you are in a simple position to what I was in. Without the support of VN I wouldn’t have been able to address the debt problem which I was experiencing at the time. |

| When receiving 6 monthly statements for the outstanding balance to be quite visible. This would allow the customer to view progress being made on reducing the overall debt. Instead of having complicated details showing a summary of the account. |
| Other points |
| Having being involved with an IVA it has made realise that I’m able to manage my money and generally do without. It has made me come to terms that if I need something I must save and not live beyond my means. This as been a real valuable lesson that I have learned because I almost loss everything that I have worked for. <br> |
