My circumstances:
I have written on this site before (Jan 2011) but feel that I should update you. I am totally free now of debt and I could hardly have done it without Cleardebt. I am a bookkeeper living in London, who had £78k of debt and a property that could not be remortgaged. I had an endowment policy, which was surrendered plus, on average over 4 years, I repaid £900 monthly.
My interaction with the company:
I filled out their website query and went from there. They were very attentive to my situation, and came up with manageable solutions. They also sent me to an independent expert professional before I signed up to the IVA.
Why I gave the ratings I did:
They delivered on everything they promised. My only task was to keep within the agreement, which I did and which was worth it. The service you get is very professional, unintrusive and understanding. From the start I was won over to their tactics. I would recommend them without qualification.
One thing they did - which really impressed me:
When the house was not available for remortgage due to shared-ownership conflicts, they renegotiated the IVA. So instead of stumping up 91%, I only had to pay off 61%. It was a huge debt but a terrific outcome.

Other points
I have just finished the IVA, and am now in a position to rebuild my life. The lesson I learned is never again to go with the flow, and think that earnings will always keep in line with outgoings, which involve a lot of credit. Sorry, interest rates and changing circumstances see to that. I repaid 61%.

    Good Points
    Very informative with lots of useful information. A lot of reviews on firms that really help understand their customer service and ability. The reviews appear to be genuine as they offer interesting insights. Didn't really use the the map but looks impressive!
    Bad Points
    The site is a bit cluttered and sometimes hard to navigate around.
    General Comments
    A useful site that is free to use and full of useful information about IVAs. If you are thinking of doing an IVA then this is a must use site.
