My circumstances:
I was 26 with more debt than I could cope with. I owned my own property and saw the IVA as a way of paying back what I could afford without having to go down the route of bankruptcy and lost my home.
My interaction with the company:
I actually went through another company but was then put in contact with Varden Nuttall, who looked at all my income and expenditure and worked out what I could afford to pay back to my creditors. They did all the work behind the scenes to get my IVA organised, even visited me at home to discuss all the options. Within just a few weeks, everything had been agreed and I started paying Varden Nuttall on a monthly basis.
Why I gave the ratings I did:
Whenever Ive had concerns, i.e. my partner losing his job, my car dying, and general queries, the team at Varden Nuttall have been helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, non-judgemental and efficient. Ive always felt that I could talk to them if I started worrying about anything.
One thing they did - which really impressed me:
When my partner lost his job, I started panicking that I wouldnt be able to make my monthly IVA payment. I contacted Varden Nuttall for advice and they were sympathetic and agreed to a reduced monthly payment until I was able to pay the full amount again. Its great that they are there if you have any concerns and they put my mind at rest.

I am now at the stage where I only have five more payments to make, and it feels like theres light at the end of the tunnel. I feel that Ive paid as much back to my creditors as I can afford and will be glad to be debt-free. Ive learnt to manage my money much better by doing monthly budgets and have vowed to never get into debt again - if I want something I will save for it, rather than get a credit card. I owed approx. £50k and about £26k of that has been written off. Its been the best thing Ive ever done! Thank you.

    Good Points
    Very informative with lots of useful information. A lot of reviews on firms that really help understand their customer service and ability. The reviews appear to be genuine as they offer interesting insights. Didn't really use the the map but looks impressive!
    Bad Points
    The site is a bit cluttered and sometimes hard to navigate around.
    General Comments
    A useful site that is free to use and full of useful information about IVAs. If you are thinking of doing an IVA then this is a must use site.
