| My circumstances: |
| I am a lecturer living in Nottingham. I had 73K debts and a property with no equity. I have a salary of 25K/ year and I am a widower. |
| My interaction with the company: |
| I was triked into it by a phone canvaser. I have been missinformed by him and by the time I so what is going on I could not go back from my initial decision. At the time, I was with Sinergy Partners. It is ok now, with Clear Debt. I am pleased over all with the decision I made. |
| Why I gave the ratings I did: |
| The ratings were mostly for Sinergy because I was with them for 3 years. I have not been told all the truth from the beginning. I was let to believe that the initial amount of payments cannot go up or down. Clear Debt is much more open with information. I cannot just rate them because I have been with them only for the last year. |
| One thing they did - which really impressed me: |
| After 4 years of payments the insolvency advisor accepted to look into my claims that the amount I have to pay is too high and I have to live on £10/week for food. She has made the proposal for my payments to be reduced which had been accepted by my creditors. |
| One thing they did - which I felt could be improved: |
| People shoul be told the truth from the beginning, that payments could go up or down, depending on their income. |
| Other points |
| I am in my fift year, due to finish my IVA next May. I have written off 40K. During this time I learned to live with what money I have without having to borrow. I will never accept a credit card again. |
