| My circumstances: |
| Usual 2+2 family, we had struggled with debt for years, paying it off and building it up again, at our peak we had 57k and knew we never had a realistic chance of ever paying this off in our lifetime |
| My interaction with the company: |
| I emailed first as was too scared to pick up the phone, Tina Shortland called me back and was fantastic, I spent most of that phone call in tears as the years of struggling with debt all came flooding out, Tina was amazingly supportive and non judgmental and helped me to see that an IVA was a good option for us, but specifically left it for us to make that decision. Bankruptcy was and is never an option as my husband would lose his job. Our proposal took a long time to come to fruition due to changes in my job which we needed to wait for. |

| I felt they were completely professional, approachable and helpful and really made us feel they were on our side and totally understanding. |
| One thing they did - which really impressed me: |
| During the months of creditor harrassment, if I called or texted or emailed out of hours, I always had a response, I was amazed at how some of the team go beyond the call of duty to help their clients, their support is staggering |
| One thing they did - which I felt could be improved: |
| Put out of office assistants on if they are on leave, I would sometimes email and not get a response for a few days and would find out it was because the person I had emailed was off, but they had not put their OOOA on so i didnt know! |
| Other points |
| We are now 1 month in, 59 to go, we have savings, a budget we can stick to and are getting our lives back on track, its a long road ahead and a scary one too, but I knew deep down this was the only realistic answer for us to get out of the spiral, our dividend is around 18p/£1, Melanie was always positive this would be a good dividend and I should have had more faith! I am still shocked it was accepted so readily |
