My circumstances:
We are a professional couple living in the West Country, with one of us being self employed running her own business. We had accumulated in excess of £85K of personal debts and had a property with approx £40K worth of equity. Unable to meet all the monthly expenses and repayments we found ourselves in a very tight spot with no maneouvreability.
My interaction with the company:
After being recommended to Philip Gill & Co, we contacted Melanie R Giles who arranged a meeting in which she recommended an IVA by way of re-mortgage in order to help solve our problem. We completed the paperwork and Melanie put forward our IVA which was accepted at our creditors meeting. Throughout all our dealings with Melanie and her staff at Philip Gill, we found them to be understanding , very helpful and supportive, aswell as being very thorough in attention to detail.
Why I gave the ratings I did:
We were kept well informed and were guided through every step of the process. We rated them 9/10 due to their professional approach and helpful manner. We knew we were in good hands and the result confirmed this. We now have peace of mind for the first time in a very long time, and you can never put a price on that feeling!
One thing they did - which really impressed me:
Their professional and thorough approach gave us peace of mind in the knowledge that we were not in an unsolvable situation.

Other points
We managed to write off approx £85K of credit with £45K borrowed against our home. It has been a long, but worthwhile process and now we feel a heavy rock has been lifted from our backs. We never want to see another credit card for as long as we live!!

    Good Points
    Very informative with lots of useful information. A lot of reviews on firms that really help understand their customer service and ability. The reviews appear to be genuine as they offer interesting insights. Didn't really use the the map but looks impressive!
    Bad Points
    The site is a bit cluttered and sometimes hard to navigate around.
    General Comments
    A useful site that is free to use and full of useful information about IVAs. If you are thinking of doing an IVA then this is a must use site.
