My circumstances:
I had approx £22k worth of personal debt and no property or assets. Most of my debts were built up during my times as a student and through a period of redundancy. I was over and above my credit limit and was paying out more than I earned each month taking more and more credit to survive. It was getting to the point where something had to be done urgently or I was going to start facing court action, the idea if an IVA was scarey but with my credit rating already as low as it could go and bankruptcy not an option I had no choice but to go for it.
My interaction with the company:
I filled out a query form online and spoke with McCambridge Duffy the next day, they were more than helpful and extremely efficient. After talking through my options we settled on going for an IVA. After a short period of filling out paperwork and sending in my information my creditors meeting took place and the IVA was accepted with only a few very minor amendments.
Why I gave the ratings I did:
I rated them 10 out of 10 as they were excellent from start to finish, I would highly recommend McCambridge Duffy to anyone needing debt advice.
One thing they did - which really impressed me:
Everythin impressed me, their staff are friendly, empathetic and extremely proficient.

My IVA has been accepted and the 1st payment will be made on 1st May 2011. I am writing off around £8k worth of debt with 45p in £ to each creditor.

    Good Points
    Very informative with lots of useful information. A lot of reviews on firms that really help understand their customer service and ability. The reviews appear to be genuine as they offer interesting insights. Didn't really use the the map but looks impressive!
    Bad Points
    The site is a bit cluttered and sometimes hard to navigate around.
    General Comments
    A useful site that is free to use and full of useful information about IVAs. If you are thinking of doing an IVA then this is a must use site.
