My circumstances:
Couple with joint debts of 65k. House repossessed leaving big shortfall now living in housing association property. Had been in debt management plan up until house repossession but increasing debt would have taken years and years to pay off.
My interaction with the company:
We were put in contact with Freeman Jones by our DMP company Gregory Pennington. They already knew of our situation but listened to our queries and explained about IVA process and other options available i.e. bankruptcy. We received our proposal and our IVA was initially rejected on the day of the creditors meeting but was accepted the following day with a few modifications.
Why I gave the ratings I did:
Throughout the whole process the staff have been professional, non-judgemental and very knowledgeable and easy to talk to.<br> The advice and support they gave when the first creditors meeting didnt give us a positive result was second to none and they pulled out all the stops to negotiate our proposals acceptance the next day.
One thing they did - which really impressed me:
Always someone available to answer queries.

Other points
IVA accepted with uplift making dividend of 51p/£ and 64 month term rather than 60.<br> Wish we had gone down IVA route earlier.

    Good Points
    Very informative with lots of useful information. A lot of reviews on firms that really help understand their customer service and ability. The reviews appear to be genuine as they offer interesting insights. Didn't really use the the map but looks impressive!
    Bad Points
    The site is a bit cluttered and sometimes hard to navigate around.
    General Comments
    A useful site that is free to use and full of useful information about IVAs. If you are thinking of doing an IVA then this is a must use site.
