My circumstances:
Due to circumstances some beyond my control I had accumulated over £200,000 of debt. I couldnt uphold my contractual payments and keep my head above water and in the end I knew something had to be done.
My interaction with the company:
I approached Cleardebt after seeing an advert and it went from there.
Why I gave the ratings I did:
I gave the rating I did from my personal experience from being with the company for 4 and a half years.
One thing they did - which really impressed me:
Any problems I have had have been dealt with efficiently. I have spoken to David Mond my IP a few times. On one occasion when I had sent him an email about a certain problem he phoned me that evening even though he was on vacation in Australia. Everytime I have spoken to David its always been enlightening.
One thing they did - which I felt could be improved:
The proposal itself contains terminology the man on the street may not be aware of so I would say to make it more reader friendly. Also I would suggest that when people take over an account from someone who has moved departments or left that you are sent an email or phone call or introduction would be appreciated so you are then not asking for someone whos not there anymore and also kept up to date. 
Other points
Its been tough. I had equity in my property at the beginning of the IVA and because of the market slump I now have to have an extension on the IVA. It will be finished in 4 months. Its been a necessary evil and its going to be a huge weight off my shoulders. I will have paid back just under half of what I orginally owed.

    Good Points
    Very informative with lots of useful information. A lot of reviews on firms that really help understand their customer service and ability. The reviews appear to be genuine as they offer interesting insights. Didn't really use the the map but looks impressive!
    Bad Points
    The site is a bit cluttered and sometimes hard to navigate around.
    General Comments
    A useful site that is free to use and full of useful information about IVAs. If you are thinking of doing an IVA then this is a must use site.
