My circumstances:
I am self employed, and work part time at a school. I have property with a small amount of equity, but due to a breakdown in my marriage, I was unable to continue with paying the credit card/loan payments that had built up during my 14 year marriage. I have 2 young children, and was left to pay the £24,000 of debt and support my family, although I have 2 jobs, this proved impossible for me.
My interaction with the company:
I phoned Varden Nuttall for advice. They were extreamly helpful and sympathetic to my curcumstances and helped me every step of the way. <br> I was soon accepted for an IVA, and Varden Nuttall found the best possible solution for my needs, thus being cashing in my endownment policy for my mortgage, putting the mortgage onto repayment, and offering a lump sum to my debtors which was still considerably less than the amount owed. They accepted my offer within a short time.
Why I gave the ratings I did:
I rated Varden Nuttall 10/10 because they always made me feel at ease, were very friendly and very understanding. This can be a very traumatic time, especially during the time of a marriage breakdown, but Varden Nuttall were always extreamly supportive and constantly reassured me. They even phone after the iva has been accepted to make sure the creditors are not in touch. Outstanding service.
One thing they did - which really impressed me:
They didnt just support the finacial side of my problems, but also were very supportive and kind towards my personal circumstances.

    Good Points
    Very informative with lots of useful information. A lot of reviews on firms that really help understand their customer service and ability. The reviews appear to be genuine as they offer interesting insights. Didn't really use the the map but looks impressive!
    Bad Points
    The site is a bit cluttered and sometimes hard to navigate around.
    General Comments
    A useful site that is free to use and full of useful information about IVAs. If you are thinking of doing an IVA then this is a must use site.
