| My circumstances: |
| I am a civilian working for a local police force in South Wales. I had 65K of debt and my property had 7k equity. |
| My interaction with the company: |
| I contacted the debt advisor after trying to contact debt free direct who failed to get back to me, I had a pack in the post from them 2 weeks after phoning. I spoke to the debt advisor and was able to explain my situation there and then to an advisor, after listeninghe advised that an IVA was likely to be the best solution after advising on all over options, he then passed me on to colleague who took all of my debtor details. 2 week later I received the proposal which was excellent. I returned the form and a month later the creditor meeting was held. There was one small change made at the meeting but my supervisor was able to handle the issue without contacting myself and the IVA was accepted. The 3 people I had dealings with were all very proffessional, polite and not in the least judgemental or condescending. |
| Why I gave the ratings I did: |
| I rated te debt advisor at 10/10 across te board because at no time was I left wondering what was going to happen next and on the few occasions I had to contact them I was always able to speak to the supervisor handling my case, and she always called me back within 30 mins if she could not take my call directly. They are very professional and a pleasure to work with. |
| One thing they did - which really impressed me: |
| After less than 12 months in the IVA my personal circumstances improved significantly with a pay increase and a substatial raise in my properties equity, I contacted my supervisor enquiring how if possible I could end the arrangement early, I was a little apprehensive thinking that they would not want this to happen and would try to block the proposal, I was greatly mistaken and I received great advice on how to go about it and how much it was likely to cost. I have now been able to end the arrangement 4 years early. |

| I have now been able to end the IVA after only 12 months due to personal circumstances and a rise in equity, I intially owed 65k and repaid 21k, my dividend was 25p/£1<br> |
