| I had 25,000 of debt from being young and stupid and also a previous relationship. |
| My interaction with the company: |
| I was put in touch with Varden Nuttals through a debt management consultant. I had tried all the other avenues possible and they recommended I speak with the IVA company |
| Why I gave the ratings I did: |
| I feel that the customer service is excellent, the staff are friendly and understanding of your situation. I did not find them too pushy and the monthly courtesy call has been comforting. I had a particular issues with a car allowance and found them to be very helpful and quick to respond when I needed them. |
| One thing they did - which really impressed me: |
| I had a problem with a car allowance, there had been some miss communication with what I was entitled to and what was<br> my responsibility to provide. To start with I found the whole process a mess as it seemed no-one knew what the actual rules were. I found that one of the insolvency practitioners taking the evening calls was particularly helpful, she explained the process properly and sorted out the issue. I cant remember her full name other than her first name which was Colette. |
| One thing they did - which I felt could be improved: |
| I feel that the communication between practitioners could be improved. There is a high turn over of staff which I understand you cant necessarily avoid, however feel that customers should be informed. I think that changes in the law and insolvency agreements should be communicated with customers. Practitioners should be up to speed with older agreements. |
| Other points |
| I think if I was to have to make the decision again I would not op for an IVA. The whole process has been very long and at times it has felt that there was no light at the end of the tunnel. I never want to find myself in this kind of situation again. Five years of my life has been on hold, yes I am debt free and I get to start a fresh. These past five years have been tough, I have one payment to go which feels amazing and I can go back to being me. I was paying £303 a month there was 7000 written of.<br> |
