| My circumstances: |
| I am maried with two children, big mortgage ect.<br> <br> I have always worked very hard and life was good, 3 years ago i had a car crash which left me fighting for life, thats when things got bad, you get no help so we used our savings to live and as i am very positive about the future ran up debts just to survive , i ended up in debt to the tune of about £110,000 my house had equity so i chose the full and final iva option, i remortgaged and paid in approx £50k this then finished my debts. |

| I wish i had of asked more, ie things now are very difficult, i dont mean debts i mean i cant get a bank account ect, thats tough. But that was my fault i suppose. |

| My Iva started in july 2006, and was full and final...so i dont pay monthly as all the money required from me has been paid, as i remortgaged. I am now waiting for my certificate to say its complete, which i then can send to the credit agencies, which should help when i want a bank account ect.. Although it stays on my record for a few years.<br> <br> I have learnt alot, that life doesnt help , my debt was through survival, the stress was horrific as i had just suffered a blood clot on my brain.<br> <br> Now i am strong and will never go there again, you need cards for emergencies, and not having one i find very difficult.<br> <br> I am back at university trying to rebuild my life, and yes you guessed it had to pay for it myself, my mom got me a loan, nightmare hehe....But i know now i can get through anything....<br> <br> <br> I just claimed back my bank charges and it came to £2000 and have just found out i cant have it...this i found hard as my iva has been paid...so there are alot of thing s to consider, but for me i beleive iva was the only option, yes i could have gone bankrupt and it would have been over within a year, but the house was too important, i just wish the creditors would appreciate iva is the harder option, as your not walking away, your trying to pay...<br> |
