My circumstances:
I am a 79 year old widower, living alone. I was previously on Debt Management Programmes with Money Tailor and One Debt Solutions paying £243 per month on debts of around £45k. I had hoped originally to pursue the IVA route but was told by both that it was not an option
My interaction with the company:
I spoke to Mike Morgan at ClearDebt who was marvellous. He explained that age was no barrier to IVA and that it was well worth a shot at it.
Why I gave the ratings I did:
They did exactly what I wanted them to do, i.e. get me an IVA when everyone else said it was impossible
One thing they did - which really impressed me:
The very first phone call with Mike took such a weight off my shoulders, I was very impressed indeed.

I am now on an IVA at £162 per month and couldnt be happier, I also cant believe that I am paying such a lot less now than I was on my DMPs. It is estimated that my return will be 12p in the £, and around £35k will be written off.

    Good Points
    Very informative with lots of useful information. A lot of reviews on firms that really help understand their customer service and ability. The reviews appear to be genuine as they offer interesting insights. Didn't really use the the map but looks impressive!
    Bad Points
    The site is a bit cluttered and sometimes hard to navigate around.
    General Comments
    A useful site that is free to use and full of useful information about IVAs. If you are thinking of doing an IVA then this is a must use site.
