My circumstances:
I am a business man who owned a company that I had provided personal guarentees and injected substantial directors loans. I sold the company to a USA resident but the buyer failed to complete leaving me with in excess of £200k debts and the personal guarentees.
My interaction with the company:
I was at my wits end but discovered the IVA system on line. I chose Debt Lifeboat and phoned them. Then they phoned me back and over quite a long call they took down all my details. Within days this was in writing and very quickly put before the courts. I was amazed at the lucidity and understanding with which they undertook my case. During the IVA my situation deteriorated and they guided me through a variation that took in my changed circumstances. My IVA has now been satisfied and I feel so free of those worries.
Why I gave the ratings I did:
I rated them 10 out of 10 because I have not one complaint as to the manner in which my affairs were handled.
One thing they did - which really impressed me:
The variation that was made to my IVA when the reccession caused my income situation to deteriorate.

On a sum claimed of £206k I paid off 37.07p in the £ thus writing off £76k of debt.

    Good Points
    Very informative with lots of useful information. A lot of reviews on firms that really help understand their customer service and ability. The reviews appear to be genuine as they offer interesting insights. Didn't really use the the map but looks impressive!
    Bad Points
    The site is a bit cluttered and sometimes hard to navigate around.
    General Comments
    A useful site that is free to use and full of useful information about IVAs. If you are thinking of doing an IVA then this is a must use site.
