| My circumstances: |
I am a Graphic Designer living in Leicestershire. I had £38700 of debt with no equity. I do not own a home, I privately rent. I got into financial difficulty, when the loans and credit card companies started charging extremely high interest rates and additional charges, changes in work resulting in reduced income. I ended up being in more trouble when i contacted the catalogue companies i owed money too, to see if they could do a payment plan for me to help clear the debt, which ended up back firing and my monthly payments doubling. I had never felt so down and depressed in my life. I started to become ill because of all the worries. I had to go for tests in hospitals, and ended up being put on Beta Blockers.
Then late september 2004 i saw an advert for Debt Counsellors. They advised me of the options I had, and i agreed to an IVA. They passed on all my details to a company called Capital Insolvency Services (CIS). |

| My interaction with
the company: |
Within a few days of my details being passed onto Capital Insolvency Services I had a phone call from them, again advising me of my options, and I was told I qualified for an IVA. A proposal was drawn up and it was agreed to in the Creditors meeting. By March 2005 I was in an IVA paying £320 a month for 60 months, resulting in 28.83 pence in the pound dividend to creditors. Capital Insolvency Services later became Synergi Partners Ltd, and then the parent company went into administration. Luckily ClearDebt purchased Synergi. The start of the process of going into an IVA was abit slow, but they have always been very helpful. But since ClearDebt have taken over Synergi, i have to say the service i received was 10/10. Very friendly, polite and efficient.

| I rate them 10/10 because i feel they are a very trust worthly and honest company, who look after there clients. I have had no problems with them at all, When ever I had a problem with any of the creditors hassling me, I just gave them a call and they sorted it all out |

I am pleased to say I have now completed my IVA and i am now totally debt free. I have also received my certificate of completion, which a copy was emailed to me and the hard copy posted to me.
I have to thank David Mond and his team for helping me through the difficult times and I would like to thank Karl Gambles for everything he has done for me.
I would also just like to say...
If anyone is having any financial difficulties, then please dont try and sort it out yourself, it doesnt work. I honestly suggest you give ClearDebt a call, and theyll talk you through your options. They are very polite, friendly, and unlike some companies out there, ClearDebt do care and listen to what you have to say. I do not for 1 second regret going through an IVA. I just wish I knew about ClearDebt before, when i had my financial problems.
