| My circumstances: |
| I am 30 years old and Im an Electrical Engineer living in Cumbria. Due to credit cards, consolodation loans and generally being poor at controlling my spending I accrued debts of around £63000. I am on a decent wage for the area I live in and was just managing to scrape together enough each month to cover all my debts which meant I was left with very little to actually have a life with. |
| My interaction with the company: |
| I contacted a company whose advert I saw in a paper. The company is called "Best Solution". I briefly discussed my situation and within a week a member of the company travelled a considderable distance to visit me at my home. I was given straight forward advice and was recommended to apply for an IVA. I was also told how to handle creditors phone calls and letters which was a great help to me. I was informed that my IVA if successful would not be managed by Best Solution but by a company called "Grant Thornton". The transition from Best Solution over to Grant Thornton was effortless and smooth and My IVA was accepted. I found both companies very helpful and was treated with respect and courtesy on the phone and in correspondance. |

| I have rated the company I dealt with all 10s because there was not point in the dealings that I ever thought -Ive made a mistake - or - Whats going on, Ive been left in dark. They were very professional, courtious, supportive and friendly. |

| I have been in my IVA for nearly 5 months now. It is due to run for 5 years and will write off somewhere in the region of £25000 - £27000 from my debt.<br> I will never allow myself to get anywhere near this level of debt in the future. I have to use cash for everything now eg. Fuel, food, clothes - everything! It is much harder to part with cold hard cash than to swipe Mr Plastic through the machine at the counter in a shop! I have much more money sense and value for money now. I feel really lucky that I have been taught a valuable lesson earlyish in life without too much misery and hardship. |
