My circumstances:

i am a full time mum, my partner works full time as a factory operative, we have £20,000 worth of debt nd so decided on an iva as we could not make minimum payments

My interaction with the company:

when they wanted proof about our circumstances (income and expenditure) they got aggressive on the phone, they could not explain where our money was going after the 1st 2 payments (as in while the iva was being set up but we made our 1st 2 payments and we still had to carry on with them), and when it came to cancleing everything today as i was fed up of it all, they werent very nice then they were very patronsing and rude trying to tell me what the people we are seeking advice from are going to advise us to do. I am so pleased i looked on here today though as i thought it was just us being a bit over paranoid but this put my mind to rest and i have now canceled everything. also just to explain we did not actually get to the meeting stage one is set up but we canceled before it was too late so we did not get accepted or rejected hence why i only put one week thet the desision was made. And i did call another debt company today and they have inform me that even if the meeting has been set up but not taken place yet its not too late to cancel but as soon as the meeting has taken place then you can cancel any point before then.

Why I gave the ratings I did:

they did know there stuff when it came to debt solutions, i feel their customer service was poor because some of their employees mannor came across as rude, or they didnt appear to be as knowlegable about where my money was being spent as they should of been. I just feel they were not good at all. The speed of response i think was acceptable they did call mostly when they said they would. some employees, sometimes too punctual as in they called maybe too often and were rude at times ( this was not the person who set the meeting up it seems all the people before that point were rude and then after that when it was at the consultation call stage just didnt anything except about setting up the meeting and preparing the proposal and i was not offered the chance to speak to anyone else.

One thing they did - which really impressed me:

the way they called to pursuade me to go IVA with them. Like they were the best thing since sliced bread

One thing they did - which I felt could be improved:

people skills!!!!

Other points

we have chosen not to go IVA with anyone just yet instead we are seeking advice from the CAB and going on a dmp until we have decided which is the best company/.charity to go with to apply for the iva again. We now know that before leaping into anything as serious as an IVA we should look at all other potions with great detail that includes who we decide to help us through that
