My wife and I had accumulated approximatly £46k of debt some joint and some individual over 9 creditors. Following the birth of our first child in April 2009 and living on a single wage we struggled to meet minimum payments and found ourselves living on even more credit. We had no equity available due to negative equity.
My interaction with the company:
I initially contacted CCCS in mid 2009 and was setup on a DMP however the run time for this was 12 years (assuming no interest or other charges incurred) and I was still experiencing problems with a few creditors. CCCS said at the time said an IVA was no suitable due to a car loan my wife had, as it was quite new. We proceeded with the DMP not knowing what to do and in an attempt to try and resolve but I soon look for alternative. I checked the reviews on this site and decided to call the IVA advice bureau, I was very pleased with the service and their knowledge, each person I spoke to along the way was helpful and could always answer my questions.
Why I gave the ratings I did:
I rated them 10 as each time I contacted them they always replied promptly and set our minds at ease, acted very professional and we didnt feel like we were being judged.
One thing they did - which really impressed me:
Always able to provide an answer to questions and also their speed of responses to any questions I had emailed over.
One thing they did - which I felt could be improved:
|We have now made our first payment, next due next week and both feel much much happier with life. Yes we have another 5 years, but it would have been much longer had we not contacted the IVA advice bureau and stuck with our initial choice.

Dividend was 28p, writeoff was approx £28600|
