I am a sales manager living in London - living in a propery with my partner . Purchased the propert in 2007 with a 120% together mortgage . when things hit the buffers we ended up with about 96K of unsecured debt between the two of us ( including unsecured loan on mortgage ) negative equity and looking down the barrel of rather big gun
My interaction with the company:
first rang Tina early January after doing lots of lurking on the forum and making my mind uup that Melanie and her team seemed to know what was going on and also had lots of sucesses - . The interaction was great - and from january when we first made the call our IVA ( two seperate ones ) was approved on 30th april - It was initialy rejected but Hwell and the team pulled it round
Why I gave the ratings I did:
all in all the team were great and helpfull - also they knew what they were doing and didnt try and push - It took about 4 months - but that was fine by me as it gave us time to really look at things and also it took some of the pressure off as we stopped paying creditors once we had decided - and gave us some breathing space to put some money aside
One thing they did - which really impressed me:
They put in a bullish I & E and fought our corner when the creditors wanted more - and initialy rejected it . we ended up only paying £10 extra .
One thing they did - which I felt could be improved:
nothing major - everything went smoothly
approved 30th April two seperate IVAs for me and my partner . I pay back 32p in the pound ( it went to 6 years as NR was major creditor ) My partner pays back 51p in the pound - so NR actually get almost 80% as they are joint .
