| My circumstances: |
| We are a couple living in South Wales and Cleardebt arranged an IVA for both of us. We had a combined debt of 50,000 after having moving several times with our jobs and an unplanned career break due to the birth of twins. We have no equity in our property due to the sudden fall in house prices so remortgage was out of the question and we were basically living on credit and could not afford the payments anymore. AFter receiving independant debt counselling we knew an IVA was probably the best option. An IVA is now in place and we can finally sleep at night. |
| My interaction with the company: |
| After taking independant advice we realised an IVA was our best option. On contacting Cleardebt they explained the whole process on the phone and then sent all the relevant documentation to read before any decision was made. The staff were helpful at every stage, patient and explaining what the next stage would be..after completing the forms we then had to wait for the creditor meeting and both our IVAs were accepted first time..at every stage I have been confident I have had the right advice but no pressure was ever put on us and all my questions were answered immediately by our advisor. |
| Why I gave the ratings I did: |
| I feel I had good service, at a time that was extremely difficult. Every time I contacted Cleardebt I dealt with the same person, who immediately had all our information to hand..It made me have confidence in the company and whenever I could not get hold of that person as they were busy they always rang me straight back or e-mailed me with the relevant information |

| After my IVA, I was still having contact from some very heavy handed creditors. Cleardebt immediately contacted the relevant firm and all my problems stopped immediately. |

| I am only 5 months into my IVA and even though it is hard, we are managing and know it was the best option for us at the current time and in the current financial climate. |
