My Interaction with company: Bridgestones got in touch with me after initially dealing with Vincent Bond. We went through a I&E form and took all my factors in to consideration. I was at the time on a DMP paying £249 per month but I was struggling with this payment. I was very pleased when Bridgestones put forward an IVA at a more affordable price for me. I found Steven Cook very friendly to deal with as well as very professional and always answered my questions in a fast and positive manner.

Why I gave the ratings I did: I rated them 10/10 despite the process taking 12 weeks because they were speedy in dealing with everything and replying to emails etc once I was referred to them. Everything was clearly explained, thorough and very professional. Steven Cook, who handled everything, was calm, clear and patient in dealing with all our queries.

My Interaction with company: I dealt with Steven Cook at Bridgestones and I cannot thank him enough for all his professional help and advice. Today my IVA was accepted and its a huge relief for me. I would definitely recommend Bridgestones to anyone going through the same thing.

Why I gave the ratings I did: Had previous dealings with another firm who were hopeless. Felt like I was talking to junior admin people all the time rather than people who could advise me. Bridgestones were different - one person (Steven Cook) from day 1 who was polite, positive, knowledgable and extremely helpful through the whole process.

My Interaction with company: My first contact about applying for an IVA was through a company called DEBT FREE ME, they sent one of their people out to me to work out what was the best route to take for my finances, after going through everything it was decided that I should apply to take up an IVA. This was September 2006, DEBT FREE ME did all the paperwork they were fantastic, when they were confident that I had a good case for an IVA they passed me and my paperwork to BRIDGESTONES in December 2006, from then on I was dealt with by Steven Cook who I can only describe as fantastic at his job, never judging me and always on the end of the phone to answer my questions however stupid they were! Steven Cook went through all the paperwork and my money in goings and out goings and drew up a proposal to be sent to my creditors, this was sent to them, my creditors meeting was set for Feb. 15th 2007. The IVA was accepted, it was an amazing day, and a huge weight had been lifted from me and my wife we could start to live again! It was about 2 months between being passed from DEBT FREE ME to BRIDGESTONES having the IVA approved, I was so impressed with the speed considering this was done with Christmas and New Year in the middle!

I rated them 1-3 out of 10 because they trick you on to an I.V.A if you have equity to cover the debt. Rush an I.V.A through saying its the best for you, when it may not be. Speak to 3 or 4 I.V.A companies before you sign the dotted line. Ive just had a review. They told me they wont be lowering the repayment amount. But I understood that the law states it must be manageable.

    Good Points
    Very informative with lots of useful information. A lot of reviews on firms that really help understand their customer service and ability. The reviews appear to be genuine as they offer interesting insights. Didn't really use the the map but looks impressive!
    Bad Points
    The site is a bit cluttered and sometimes hard to navigate around.
    General Comments
    A useful site that is free to use and full of useful information about IVAs. If you are thinking of doing an IVA then this is a must use site.
