My Circumstances: Overtime gradually decreased over the past 3 years & is now practically non existant which meant my monthly income dropped drastically. My wifes work hours also dropped due to ill health. Paying our creditors has become increasingly more difficult. We wanted to avoid bankruptcy & sough advice from Sandra McAlister. We decided the best option for us was to propose an interlocking IVA between us

My Circumstances: In recent years we required credit to meet our monthly expenses. My wife & I refinanced our home in an attempt to reduce monthly expenditure in 2005. Later in that year we received a further advance but this still dindnt resolve our financial problems. Credit bard balances started to accumulate to a sum which we were unable to service. our child went to Uni which put further financial burdon on us. We then met with Sandra McAlister in 2006 for further financial advice.

Impressive Things: HMRC was goiung to petition for bankruptcy. Even though Sandra McAlister was due to go on annual leave, she made the time to come to my home, take me to see my solicitor & took me to court & got the whole process stopped whilst we put together the Proposal.

The paperwork initially sent commits them to arranging the meeting of creditors with a certain timeframe. the financial payment to baines and ernst for their admin fees needed to be received before within that timeframe also. Communication between them would of prevented me having to sign the documents twice having said that they were very professional and sent a representative to my home to complete this.

I was on a debt management programme with Churchwood and I remember the problems/hassle and length of time that took to set up. This was totally different

    Good Points
    Very informative with lots of useful information. A lot of reviews on firms that really help understand their customer service and ability. The reviews appear to be genuine as they offer interesting insights. Didn't really use the the map but looks impressive!
    Bad Points
    The site is a bit cluttered and sometimes hard to navigate around.
    General Comments
    A useful site that is free to use and full of useful information about IVAs. If you are thinking of doing an IVA then this is a must use site.
